I dabble in many different arts and crafts, and pyrography is one I keep coming back to. I love working with natural materials, I love the energy of scorching, smoking, and burning into wood to create beautiful things.

Wheel of Time Tray
Combining Pagan, Greek, and Roman calendars, I created this tray as a special gift. The outer ring is detailed depictions of nature throughout the year. This is one of my favorite projects I've ever done.

A Group of Moths Is Called an Eclipse
One of my early woodburnings and still a favorite. This was my first experiment with deep burned backgrounds. I had just a simple tool and the feeling it portrays is more primitive. I kept this one for my own living room.

Ostara
I've started working on a wooden Easter Egg collection inspired by the very decorative Russian pysanky eggs. This is just one side of this egg depicting daffodils and violets of early spring blooming out of the dark winter.

Jerram tries to work with the same enthusiasm as a kindergartener with a crayon. Inspired by surrealism, he aims to tap into his subconscious by abandoning all logic and reason. What comes out is usually as strange as it is friendly.

Appliquéd Tote Bag
Here is a piece that I appliquéd after learning kawandi style from a Good Junk Sanctuary workshop. All pieces were left over from either my own projects or from the Good Junk Sanctuary stash. If there are any teachers looking for art supplies for school projects, they should contact Good Junk Sanctuary to see what free supplies can be had.

It's an honor to get to combine my love for throwing pottery and then create special pieces of our furry family members.
All pottery is functional, microwave & dishwasher safe.
