The March 2026 issue of Woodstock Create is here! This month, we received submissions from five creators working with stippling, block printing, miniatures, ceramics, collage, and mixed media. Thank you to our subscribers—most of whom are Woodstock community members, Southeast Portland residents, and fellow creators—for supporting the newsletter each month.

Do you have in progress and/or completed pieces you would like to share with the community? We want to see them! Submit your creations here for the next issue of Woodstock Create.

CREATORS: 👉 You are welcome to submit pieces every month, even if you were featured in a previous issue of the newsletter. Keep us updated on what you’re making!

Be sure to check out the Announcements section at the end of the newsletter, too!

Popcorn of 10,000 Dots and Sleep Deprivation
This was an assignment in my art class—to draw popcorn using texture. I chose stippling, which took 16 hours of sitting on my dorm floor drawing dots, staying up until 3 AM the night before. In the end, I think it looks pretty cool, and it’s 2 feet tall.

Holiday Cards
With Valentine’s Day and Chinese New Year happening one after the other, I carved rubber blocks to make holiday cards for friends.

Wallpaper Pattern Ideas
This was another class assignment where I designed two repeating patterns that could be used as wallpaper for a restaurant.

These are analog collages I created from vintage magazines and books! I love to thrift for materials and then spend the day finding images that I think would work well together. I put some TV on, cut the magazines up, and glue for hours. My favorite hobby!

I Only Came in for One Item!
Mixed media diorama (19.5” x 8” x 12”) currently on display at the Splendorporium’s Seven Deadly Sins exhibition through Thursday, March 26.

Intersection of Love
This 20” x 22” wall hanging is an original design that I pieced and embroidered by hand. The fish in the background are snacks for the cranes. The top quilting was professionally done by Just Quilting

Inseparable
9” x 12” watercolor painting created for The Pink Show at the Splendorporium.

Growing Up Pink
Mixed media on 22” x 28” canvas, including watercolor clothing and clothesline. It depicts my upbringing with my immigrant mother (from Mexico) during the 1970s and the values she felt were important when raising a girl. It was created for The Pink Show at the Splendorporium.
