Green and Gold Teapot
I had the pleasure of making this teapot as a Hallowedding gift for a dear friend. I took my time with it, thinking carefully about shape and color at each step of the process. Despite my consideration, it came out of its second firing with a chipped base — a result of glaze dripping inside the kiln. I was only disappointed for a minute until I realized it was a perfect opportunity for kintsugi — a Japanese technique for visible repairs (literally ‘golden joinery’). I think it’s all the more beautiful for its rough start!

Blueberries Cup and Saucer
Blueberries cup and saucer — for early fall days wedged between summer and autumn. This set came together beautifully! I kept the colors minimal — just slightly darker and lighter shades of the same blue and green underglaze to suggest some depth. Inspired by my sister Bryn and her garden!

Goodbye! After living in the Woodstock neighborhood my whole life, I am going to college and moved out of the city! You’ll still find me in Woodstock seasonally, though. Halloween is my favorite holiday, so here’s some art for that.
