Jerram tries to work with the same enthusiasm as a kindergartener with a crayon. Inspired by surrealism, he aims to tap into his subconscious by abandoning all logic and reason. What comes out is usually as strange as it is friendly.

Self Portrait
I decided to make a more abstract self portrait of myself by carving a stencil and using paint. I used blocky shapes and symbols such as the trees and paintbrush.

Owl Animation
Here is a short animation of an owl flying through a forest, as animation is one of my favorite art mediums. I made it using the app Animation by Do Ink.

Doodling for Dudes
Ok, so you play it cool, pretending not to care too much about art lest the other guys start to wonder… IF YOU LOVE IT AS MUCH AS THEY DO!
In this intro-level doodling class (we literally can’t make the bar any lower) you will have permission to explore lines, shapes, lettering styles, images, and possibly even (gasp!) your feelings, as we unlock the power of simple mark-making together.
You are definitely qualified. The only question is, are you brave enough?
All materials will be provided. (But if you have some favorite pens and a blank journal or sketchbook, you’re welcome to bring them.)

Good Fire: Visual Narratives of Wildfire Ecology
“Good Fire” explores how fire shapes us and how we shape it. This series was inspired by many years of hiking across the western United States and navigating the feelings that come from watching wildlife—and myself—adapt to the consequences of longer and hotter fire seasons.
These pieces were created during the summer of 2025 and are currently featured in a solo exhibit at Antler Gallery in Portland, Oregon until September 25. You can browse available pieces on the gallery’s website.
COMPANION BOOK
After much research and personal experience with fire over the years, I felt it was important to share some of the inspiration, science, and personal narratives behind these paintings.
I wrote a mini eBook to accompany this series! You can view or download your free 42-page PDF file by clicking on the cover image above.

Woodstock Community Center (WCC) Holiday Market
The WCC’s first annual holiday market will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025, from 10 AM - 4 PM inside the Woodstock Community Center.
We have a strong community here and expect a good turnout. Our space within the community center is very limited so we are creating a layout to maximize the number of artists while remaining mindful of traffic flow. Tables will be provided, assigned, and pre-arranged in the space prior to set up. The cost to rent a full table is $40, though shared tables could be an option. The Friends of Woodstock Community Center will choose artists based on location, diversity of arts, and appropriateness to our parameters.
View the sign-up form here.
We will contact artists by September 25, and we are asking for a firm commitment from our artists by October 1. For more information, email [email protected].
Artist Exhibit Program (AEP) 2026
ARTIST EXHIBIT PROGRAM 2026 CALL TO ARTISTS is NOW OPEN!
DEADLINE: Apply by September 30, 2025
The Clackamas Arts Alliance showcases the work of local visual artists through our Artist Exhibit Program (AEP). We match artists with libraries, hospitals, county buildings, and other public spaces so their art can be viewed by the public. Currently we rotate 20 galleries in 12 public venues in Clackamas County.
The Arts Alliance coordinates installation, and artwork rotates regularly in venues throughout Clackamas County. Community members are able to enjoy changing exhibits, experience various art mediums, and learn about local artists. AEP opens doors to additional exhibit and sales opportunities for artists, while also providing skill building and gallery readiness training. The call for artists to participate in AEP (which is offered commission-free) is extended annually, with an updated roster of artists announced once selections have been completed.
AEP 2026 CALL TO ARTISTS TIMELINE:
August 18, 2025: AEP 2026 Call to Artists opens
September 30, 2025: AEP 2026 Call to Artists closes
November 2025: AEP 2026 Notifications to Artists sent
February 2026: AEP 2026 Orientation for accepted artists
Eligibility:
This opportunity is open to emerging and experienced Individual Artists who live or work in Clackamas County (Working or living in Clackamas County means Artist’s studio is in the County, or Artist is employed in the County).
Prior exhibit history is not required! Artists who have previously exhibited in the AEP Program are invited to apply – with new artwork.
